The shadow side of our imagination is that future thinking can blind us to current states of existence. We often distract ourselves with despair or optimism when what we need is an ever-present hope that exists in the here and now.
Because the future is not an extrapolation but a derivative, don’t attempt to change the future. Change what is. Now. Hope is not for later. Hope is for here and now.
